Did You know that Sales is one of the highest paid professsions?

If you are in sales then you probably know there are certain things you have to do to become successful. One of the characteristics of great sales people is the fact that they are extremely confident. A customer can sense if you are not sure of yourself or your product. That's why it is so important to know your product and services. The more competent you are the more confident you become.

You must be a good communicator and have the ability to establish rapport with your customer. Establishing rapport helps you to break the ice and begin the process of relating to and understanding a customer. You must also have the ability to ask the right questions and in the right way. Start with open end questions. These are questions which cannot be answered with a simple yes or know. They entice the customer to give you more information.

These type of questions get the customer talking about themselves. One example of an open end questions is the following: Please explain your experience with investments. Listening is another good quality because this helps you understand the customers needs and then gives you the ability to recommend the correct product or service. Customers want to know that they can trust you and that you have their best interest at heart.

As a sales person you can also use closed end questions. These are questions that the customer will answer with a yes or no and are designed to help you close the sale and control the conversation. One example is "Do You feel comfortable with high risk products?".

Another good quality to have is the ability to overcome objections. More sales people will tell you that they made the sell after the customer made their first objection. The recognized and understood the objection. Sometimes it's a matter of giving the customer more information.

You have to be persistent. The average sale is not made until the customer has said no 5 or 6 times therefore you must have the ability to persevere with a course of action despite the difficulty. If a prospective client objects to your product offering always summarize the customers objection and then have a solution that will help the customer understand why your product or service is going to solve their problem.

And finally be enthusiastic, friendly, confident and persistent. Take some notes immediately after talking with a customer. Perhaps they have children and if you know the children by name it will let the customer know that you were listening and have a sincere interest in helping them eradicate their problem whatever

When you need to save any way you can a little definitely goes a long way. Any major purchase you make and I mean anything over $250 you should try to negotiate. It will simply amaze you what you can save when you try to negotiate over the price. I was looking to book a hotel room for a seminar and I decided to negotiate and I ended up saving 50% off the price of that room. This took me by surprise but it was suggested that I try this so I did.

Start taking your lunch every day and just watch the money you are going to save. It will build up and save you a tremendous amount of money daily. Just think if you spend $4 or $5 per day for lunch over the course of a year how much money you are putting out. Try saving this money instead. At $4.5 per day times 23 days per month, ( not counting weekends) = $103.50 and then times 12 and you will realize a savings of $1242 per year.

Sometimes we want to go out and buy the most popular name brand items which of course cost the most money. The generic products are just as good and they are less expensive. If you purchase the generic products you will save yourself a ton of money.

Do you really need that extended warranty? Did you know that well over 70% of all extended warranties are never utilized?

If you buy a used car this is another way to save a lot of money. With a few exceptions I have always bought used cars and the ones I bought lasted for years and save me a lot of money. Try buying some a demonstration model from a car dealer this represents yet another way to save yourself some money. When you have a used car it is better to sell it yourself rather than trade it in because you have an interest in this deal and you will make a much better deal for yourself than the car dealership will. You stand to make more money from this transaction on your own.

If you pay an extra $50 or $100 on your mortgage you can save a ton of money over the life of a 30 year mortgage. You can wipe off seven or eight or even 10 years off your mortgage depending on the situation.
Those years represent finance charges you don't have to pay. The money you save can go into a saving account or better yet a money market account that pays more. Make your money work for you and not the opposite.

Now he begins to shadow box to warm and throw punches at the pretend opponent. His trainer comes over with the padded mitts and the fighter begins throwing punches at the mitts in rhythm and at his trainers commands. One two, one two, one two.

The sweat begins to trickle down the side of his face as he begins to bounce up and down careful to stay loose and limber. Now come the words of encouragement from his trainer, "you can do it!, you can do it,

In order to set your sights on becoming great you have to find out what you are passionate about because in all likelihood that is your purpose. That's the thing that you were called to do, or created to do. Those are the events that match up perfectly with your DNA imprint.

We were all created for something or rather for a specific purpose. You need to understand what is it that gets your juices flowing and brings you excitement, enthusiasm, energy, passion, drive and direction.

What is it that you love to do even if you were not going to get paid. This thing that you are pursuing, you should have a burning desire to do it. You should feel unstoppable in the pursuit.

Even with all these things in place you must practice and practice and practice. That is the only way you are going to find success and fame. You have to become the expert or the guru in your particular field of endeavor. When your particular expertise is mentioned people should begin to associate your name with that occupation or career. As people begin to seek you out for advice that in itself provides an indication that you are moving in the direction for fame and success.
